On the basis of the PAWO F7 rope, the PAWO F7S rope was developed, where the fiber component of the F7 steel core was replaced by a steel strands, thereby achieving an even higher metal cross-section and an even higher breaking strength. This all-steel rope is primarily used in installations where the life of the rope is more affected by the action of permanent bends than by wear from the traction sheave. The steel rope core minimizes rope elongation compared to F3 and F7 types. As a result, the rope is particularly suitable for high applications with many bending cycles.
