Guide shoe insert EK 5 PU from the German manufacturer ETN.
Main properties of PU (polyurethane) material:
- TPU is an elastic material with excellent damping properties and high wear resistance.
- Due to the rubber-elastic characteristic of the sliding properties, which are necessary for insert, massive permanent lubrication must be used.
- The pressure load against the material is only approx. 0.5 N/mm².
- The range of operating temperatures is between -10 °C and +30 °C, at higher temperatures the material softens and wear significantly increases.
- Beware of strong temperature fluctuations!
